County match v shrops

well what can I say

an excellent result for the ladies who are really working hard together to improve the overall team performances -arguably the best ladies result yet in the short history of their being -hopefully Michelle will post a report at some stage ?

the juniors - unfortunately with 1 player down they had it all to do - and at the halfway stage it was anyone's game but 10 on the bounce showed how well this group of players are now working together - not many teams could produce such a good result with their 2 top averages players away and giving 4 frames away. A very welcome return to form for the young captain - callum with 3/4 and ben howden and danny quinn back posting 7 frames between them - welcome also to the squad scott williams with a good 3/4 showing the youngsters definitely have strength in depth which augers well for the future.

now to the men's - I have posted a complaint to the regional director but unfortunately rules at present do not really give real consideration to the impact of what occurs when a team doesn't have the decency to inform others of not attending leaving 23 players sat around many who have spent money and time travelling.

It is a testiment to all those in attendance some of whom travelled 40 miles to our home venue that they accepted the position and didn't blame the committee - any type of notice could have saved 23 players wasting a day. We will be raising strong concerns and ask for some clear assurances about the way forward -

we will keep people posted through the website

once again thanks to the men for their patience and support

to the juniors and ladies for their excellent results

see you all next match away to staffs 10th August
