match v leicestershirewell what can I SAY
a real drubbing all round -
with leics A team putting us to the sword big time - some massive dishes by them but talking to picky afterwards we had chances in at least 10 - 12 games and at this level we must be taking them - I GOT DISHED TWICE but should have still won the other two with poor positional play meaning 1 out of 4 instead of 2. Myles,Jacko and Rowey showed what needs to be done - others have to raise their game.
B team again too many missed chances - Danny Rhodes and Shakey showed what needs doing and others have got to keep concentration throughout - 15 frames is definitely not good enough here and a massive improvement needs making at Derbyshire by many or changes will have to happen.
Ladies performed well against a strong side but need to get that side settled and then kick on.
Juniors - disappointing that they just got pipped at the end but attitude this time was first class. Young Kye really pushing on this year with rob not far behind. New players in mean we have got real competition for places now
The committee met before this match and agreed that if performances keep poor than we will be looking to recruit via the interleague for new players to have a crack this year so as to keep everyone on their toes and to make sure that we keep interest up - the committeee have done an excellent job turning the finances round and putting a good calendar of events on so please get behind them. Still would like some new members particularly women .

Well I was playing well on Saturday during practice and felt confident for Sunday. But good old Dave luck reared its head again.
First frame - Dished from his own break.
Second frame - Potted great last red down cushion for a dish, white then comes across table and knocks the black in other corner.
Third frame - Their player misses pot by inches and leaves me all but snookered on both my remaining balls. Could just see edge of ball over hole. Did well to avoid following ball in, white knuckles and comes out leaving very hard pot in middle bag from tight angle for last ball. Only just missed. He then dishes.
Forth frame - On for a dish. Lost position slighly, potted 2nd last ball, and tried to get position on last ball that only potted in 1 bottom pocket. Missed pot, and unluckily went in-off in the middle. He then clears with the 2 shots.
None from four, doesn't really reflect my performance.
