match v shrops

well where do we start - after much deliberations as regards will they or won't they they eventually arrive and we end up playing 2 x9 in each team.

knowing the problems of starting almost from scratch well done all those shropshire players who turned up knowing from the offset they were travelling realistically with little chance of winning but wanting to keep the county going - thankyou on behalf of lincolnshire.

The B team really was difficult for shrops with many players clearly learning the ropes which allowed many of our players to gain confidence by getting a few wins on the board. Pick of our players were russ binnington and callum prince the juniors capt who showed once again at senior level he excels.

In the Ateam the story was very different and good 4/4's for shakey and boycie meant we staggeredover the line with a 25-19 result luckythat we were given 8 frames start.

leicestershire next time out will be a very different story with most of the players still having it all to do to secure their place for next year -see post on trials.
Michele

Agreeing with Paddy there were some great performances on sunday and i believe the captains should get a mention lol, Amazing result from the B team... Congrats lads, you did well!
With the ladies playing a few months ago and also beating the Shrops side its a good result all round for team Lincs.  Very Happy

Good luck also to the Lincs ladies team that are travelling to Yarmouth this weekend, Michele, Sharon, Liz, Tracey, Sally and Kelly. Hopefully will win a few matches but alas going with a player short due to late let downs. So the motto for weekend is "if at first you dont succeed have another Vodka"  Wink

good luck ladies pity you're one down because I think our top 6 or 7 can now compete with the best of them. Be thinking about you when er're in the deepest north of the country at good olde Reighton so have a few on us and we'll return the favour.

cheers
